Duration:  The meeting will take place at the Hotel Suza conference centre, in Bratislava, on the 9th and 10th October. The workshop will start at 14:00 (registration will commence at 12:00) on the 9th, with a series of keynote lectures, followed by the workshop dinner. On the 10th, further lectures and discussion sessions will be held, with the meeting expected to finish at 14:00. The conference language will be English, but simultaneous translation into Czech/Slovak, Hungarian and Polish will be available.
Cost: 0 to 80 (€ EURO) Registration at the workshop is free of charge for university and government organisation participants from the V4 countries. A nominal registration charge of 30 Euro (for private company and industry representatives from V4 countries) or 80 Euro for non-V4 nationals will be made, to cover costs of refreshments and the workshop dinner.

Other conference activities: This workshop will examine the contaminated land legacy, health impacts and remediation strategies in the CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) Visegrad Group (V4) countries: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, and Poland. The workshop will consist of a series of keynote lectures, followed by discussion sessions on the following topics: Practical implications of applying EU contaminated land policy in the V4; Good practice in health risk assessment and communication; Adopting new remediation technologies. Key speakers include representatives from academic organisations, V4 government bodies and V4-based contaminated land consultants / managers. The workshop is not for profit, and is funded by the ENVIRON Foundation and supported by SEGH (Society for Environmental Geochemistry and Health) Europe.
